I hope you are warm and well fed if you are in an icy place in the north ...
Weather :
Cold days and icy nights still at Carrowcrory and through Ireland. Sprinklings of snow forecasted from lunch time and onwards until tomorrow morning.
Now looks confirmed that a new ice free weather pattern is setting in soon after this New Moon, which should continue for awhile.
The current Brighid's Day and Imbolc forecast is more spring like. Could be the best we have had for several years. Still cool, but no snow or ice. A mix of sun and showers, around 7C highs and 3C lows.

Moon :
almost 0% waning moon .... at Carrowcrory, Ireland ... rises 7:21 am, sets 06:14 pm
sunrise 8:40 am, sunset 4:48 pm

Forest Bathing :
Phytoncides and Herb Plants ...
A science based forest bathing article from Korea, that's actually very readable and interesting.
Forest Medicine Cancer Treatment ...
I have to remind you I am totally the messenger with this one, passing on the link.
Its another clinical Forest Bathing article.
I am constantly amused by how people make a simple stroll in the woods so super intellectual and are obsessed with justifying the benefits and even existence.
Terms being bounced around these days are 'bio-healing', 'eco-psychology', 'nature deficit disorder transformation', 'pinene detox', 'botanical mindfulness' and even 'quantum level bio re-alignment' :-).
I'm sticking to Boladh na Síoga, Bathing In The Fae's Breath, as its easier to put strolling in the forest into stories from that than from the other stuff.
Harp Music :
Three hours of relaxing harp music, free ...
Relaxing harp music in a 3 hours long playlist of music composed by Peder B. Helland. Beautiful music featuring only harp and soft ocean waves, but make sure you have decent speakers of the ocean waves sound like someone crushing a bag of crisps.
Storytelling :
How To Torture A Beloved Myth Story To Death (And Ruin Children) ...
This links to an amusing blog post by Tara Sparling who is reviewing a children's book story of Diarmuid and Grainne, that totally changes the familiar story into something quite modern.
This includes Grainne being a very good tea maker. :-)
